Our mum Cecily Rose High (Cis to everyone who knew her) sadly passed away on 2nd June 2019. Cis had a long and in recent years deep friendship with Vera and was very affected by Vera’s grandson Zac who has Bardet- Biedl Syndrome.
We asked Vera about Zac and what charity we could support, she said:
Your mum has always supported Zac's Charity which is BBS UK.
The condition Zac has is Bardet-Biedl Syndrome which is a very rare genetic disorder; BBS UK is a very small charity and relies on donations to help fund research etc. Cis, without fail, saved all her coins and 5p, in fact she donated, just recently, her waterproof bowls trousers which we have now sold.
The family would be grateful for your support to this charity instead of flowers. We know it is what mum would have wanted.
