Jack's Wig Slash

Michael Ellerton is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Jack's Wig Slash · 29 January 2022

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

When Jack was vary little we read him stories from a book called Stories for Boys who Dare to be Different. One of the stories was about Christian McPhilamy, a boy who, at six years of age decided to grow ho hair to help other kids who had lost their hair due to illness. Jack was inspired by this and decided to grow his hair. Its been a couple of years since he started his project and in that time his hair has grown a good length. He has been accidentally called a girl a number of times, to which he simple replies; "I'm a boy, I'm growing my hair to help kids who need a wig because they loss their hair when ill."

Jack has decided its time to cut off all of his fantastic hair, so on Saturday the 29th of January 2022 we shall be doing the Jack Wig Slash.  The aim is to video the cutting of the hair and stream it live on Facebook. He is asking for your help to raise much needed funds for The Little Princess Trust who make real hair wigs for kids who need them. A single wig costs approximately £550, so the more money Jack can raise the more kids that can be helped.

When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, The Princess Trust is there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. For more information about the Trust please visit www.littleprincesses.org.uk
