The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you or a loved one need practical or emotional support, call our Connect Helpline on 0808 802 6262, Mon to Fri between 9am and 4pm.

Story

In 2009 Jack Webster, our beloved Husband, Dad and Grandad lost his long battle with Motor Neurone disease.

MND is a very cruel disease that leaves people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves, whilst their minds remain fully functioning.  It kills 5 people every day in the UK. The South East Essex branch of the MND supported our family during this difficult time by providing practical advice and supplying specialist equipment. The MND association also funds vital research into causes, treatments and a cure for MND. We would now like to support them and on 18th May we are joining the Walk to D'Feet MND fundraising event in Jack's memory to raise funds for this very worthwhile cause which relies on voluntary donations. The walk is 10 miles along Southend Seafront and we are of course all in training now!

We hope that you will be able to sponsor Jacks Girls and make a donation, however small, to help those people currently suffering and to fund research so that people do not have to suffer in the future.

 Many thanks
Gill, Eleanor, Annie, Emily and Jenny
