Five brave men will hike 52km from Dublin Castle into the Wicklow Mountains at midnight in the middle of January to raise money for a mobile health van in rural India

Story

Leprosy is one of the oldest and cruelest diseases known to humankind. Today, it's curable, but for many leprosy sufferers in rural, underprivileged parts of the world, there is a lack of necessary resources. Leprosy Mission works for the justice of transformational development, ultimately offering hope for the future to leprosy patients around the world.

LM is currently raising money to purchase and fund a mobile health van that will serve leprosy sufferers in rural India. These patients might normally have to walk miles to the nearest clinic for treatment. In their condition, this is painful and difficult. So we're going to walk for them. Our hike represents the long distances between the sick and their available care—and if we're successful, it's a journey they will no longer have to make.

Support the work of Leprosy Mission by supporting our 35 km hike. Let's get this mobile health van up and running!

With gratitude,

Jaclyn + Laura
