Our fantastic #TeamOrange runners are taking on the London Marathon 2023 to make every step count in the race to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

I am raising money to fund the research into treatments and cures for Muscular Dystrophy. MD is a muscle wasting condition that affects 110,000 children and adults in the UK, and in many cases limits lives. This research will help them, as well as many others across the world, live longer and fuller lives.

I'm on 'Team Orange' 🧡 as my brother was born with MD and I have seen how much of a challenge this condition can be. It would be great to see some break-throughs in the research 🧪 which can lessen this struggle for future generations. These break-throughs are by no means a dream, they become closer each day with ever promising research, they just need people like us to help fund their work 💰.

So far, running the last two Great North Runs, you have donated over £2000 to this cause - a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed. 🙏

The plan this year is to double the distance and double the money!

This is your opportunity to support the thousands who are willing this research on - and to help me get across that finish line by helping me raise some life changing money.

Everyone is invited to come cheer me on, or meet me in the pub afterwards, just get in contact via my Instagram @jacobcmward to find out where we'll be! 🍻🥂🧡x
