We’re leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. We’re here to make sure children and young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. Join our fight.

Story

I'm doing the 4/4/48 running challenge to raise money for the young minds trust, a fantastic charity.

The challenge is simple. Run 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours.

At 8pm on the 5th of March I will begin this challenge. This challenge will push my mental and physical strengths to the limits, but I’m determined to complete it.

Where did the challenge come from?

As briefly mentioned above the 4/4/48 running challenge requires you to run 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours. I first learned about the challenge when David Goggins, a tough ex-Navy Seal, made billionaire Jesse Itzler do it in the book ‘Living with a seal‘. Out of the many workouts in the book, Itzler describes the 4/4/48 challenge as the hardest.

Why am I raising money for the Young minds trust?

In a time of Isolation, loneliness and unknowns, people’s mental health has been heavily damaged. Personally seeing the effect of mental health on young people is devastating and it really does change peoples life’s. The Young minds trust helps and supports children and teenagers by giving them someone to talk to in times of trouble, gives advice on how to deal with topics I.e exam stress, lockdown and promotes massively the importance of youth mental health.

So please donate, no donation is to big or to small, every penny counts.
