Miriam and I will be running a marathon together, but a different kind of marathon: we’re splitting it into 20 2.1km chunks and doing it over a whole day, with some exciting challenges thrown in that you can sponsor!

We're raising money for Just Love. Just Love are amazing - they have significantly impacted our lives and the lives of many people we know. We want to make sure they can keep changing lives, and we want to make more people aware of what they do! 

What do they do? They equip, inspire and release students in the UK to pursue Jesus and justice. They show people how the biblical vision of justice is integral to the Christian faith, and then empower them to go and live out that vision: giving opportunities to serve, and resources to lead and create communities.

One of the best things about Just Love is the deep roots they put down for all their work. The long-term planning, the training they give their student leaders, the resources, the staff hours, are all deeply thoughtful and of a high quality. We want to make sure they can keep creating amazing culture-shifting change for Jesus by raising £2020 for them this 2020.

• Plant some micro-herbs dedicated to you - £15

• Stretching/yoga with an inversion, either a crow pose or a headstand (competition who can hold longest) - £10

• Sew a mask - £30

• Write you a letter - £30

• Poetry reading - £10 (send us a poem and we’ll read it out)

• Create a dramatic re-enactment of a parable (of your choice) - £20

• Make Miriam eat a raw mushroom or green olive - £5

• Eat a chilli padi - £30 each

• Abstract, interpretive portrait of yourself (posted to you! Anywhere in the world!) - £20

• Fitness things: £1 per press up (£2 if it’s Miriam because she hates press ups), £1 per sit up, £10 for 10 minutes cumulative planking, £2 per burpee, £1 per pull up (applies to Jacob only, £0.50 for Miriam’s attempts), £2 per inchworm 

• Sing a song of your choice, live-streamed - £10 

• Ice cold shower - £5 

• Shave off Jacob's beard - £50 for Jacob doing it himself, £100 for someone else doing it for Jacob (someone with no beard shaving experience at all), £150 for you to decide what style it will be shaved into, which Jacob must keep for the entire day (except no Hitler mustache).
