Hagar exists to stop slavery, and to heal and empower survivors of human trafficking, slavery and abuse across Asia. Through prevention work, our leading survivor support programme and systemic change efforts we strive for communities free and healed from trauma.

Story

I've already spent four months in Cambodia as a volunteer with Hagar developing the Arts and Crafts programme for the women and children under Hagar's care.

I'm now returning for a final two months - I hope to complete setting up the craft room I've been given, start some "how to..." training with different craft materials and keep pushing the project forward.

Due to a family death I've flown between the UK and Cambodia more than I originally budgeted for. This additional expense, along with living costs, and buying craft materials myself has left me, shall we say, "out of pocket".

So this is an opportunity for you to be a part of what I'm doing out there without even leaving English soil, should you feel so inclined.

You can read more about things on my blog: tailor-at-large.blogspot.co.uk and see more pictures on Pinterest: pinterest.com/jackyengel. Both of which I shall endeavour to keep more up to date during the final lap of my Cambodian trip...
