Story
I'm walking 30 miles in April to support families facing dementia. My dad has had dementia for a few years now and it is a cruel and heartbreaking disease. The only good thing is he doesn’t know he has got it but it really takes it’s toll on my mom and every day brings new challenges. Please sponsor me to help raise money for this charity, all donations are gratefully received no matter how big or small. Thank you ❤️
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.* Share your personal story, let your sponsors know why you have chosen to support Dementia UK by taking part in the Walk 30 Miles in April challenge.
