Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have watched the London Marathon for many years and always been in awe of those running, the professional, the semi professionals and the everyday runner.
I am most inspired by the everyday runner, the people that will be starting that great distance when many professionals have finished. The people that have trained for months, days, hours, and got up on that cold wet morning and still pushed, just so they can be part of the marathon. Most of them hoping to make life a little better for someone else in the world by raising money for a good cause.
This year after many years of entering the ballot system and being given a "no not this time" , I was finally sent a "Yes you've got a place". I was a little shocked (and scared) to say the least.
So I will be one of those everyday runners, wheezing, sweating, wondering what on earth possessed me to do this, most likely crying my way round the 26.219miles (the numbers are important as they are all extra foot strikes) while being lifted by the crowd to not give up.
I have trained and practiced, with tight lungs, a thumping heart and at times sore feet, but I am hoping I have the mental stamina and drive to keep going when I think I have nothing left.
If you can donate anything to help this charity and to keep me going on the day I'd really appreciate it.
Thank you Jacqueline xx
