Story
Hi there!
Thanks for popping along to my JustGiving page to read my story and if you have donated, THANK YOU! It means the world and every penny goes towards supporting people in sport.
Well, what am I doing?
On Saturday 1st April, I am attempting to run 3 marathons in 24 hours around Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole in memory of my brother, Stephen Bernard, who sadly lost his life in 2005 in a car accident. This challenge will be the hardest challenge I will have put myself through as it will be pushing my ability physically, mentally and nutritionally, as well as having no idea how my brain will cope with no sleep. I will be completing 4x 20 mile laps and will post the route on the photos section of this page.
My aim is to raise an ambitious £15,000 for the Steve Bernard Foundation. Sport gives so much to people and the charity allows people to follow their sporting dreams or be able to provide sporting opportunities to those who may not be able to afford it otherwise.
This money will play a huge role in supporting a large amount of sporting projects across the south.
I know times are hard at the moment, so any pennies you can afford, however little, makes a huge difference. Every penny donated goes towards sporting projects.
Thank you again and if you fancy joining along some of the route then please come along and run/walk/scooter/cycle to provide me with some company and motivation.
Thanks,
Jacques
