A stroke strikes in a second and often happens completely out of the blue. The lives of the people that have a stroke and their family around them is changed in an instant.  Stroke has struck my family a couple of times over the last ten years. My sister had a stroke at the age of 29 and my father has suffered two strokes over the last five years.  I have seen first hand the affects stroke has on individuals, and the struggle and challenges stroke survivors face.  I have wanted answers to the questions so many people ask and have found it hard to get my head around what is happening whilst being as supportive as I can. I am riding from London to Paris in September to raise much needed money for Jersey Stroke Support LTD, as I know how important it is to have people to talk to during these very difficult times.  Some of the people involved in this charity have suffered a stroke themself, some of them have a wealth of knowledge on how to best support stroke survivors and their families and all of them are committed to ensuring that the best support service for stroke is available in Jersey. Knowing that the money raised will stay on the island and be used to offer support and guidance to individuals and their families after a stroke happens is incredibly reassuring. I would really appreciate it if you could support me in fundraising for this great cause.
