Story
Letape du Tour is the the open stage of the Tour de France for keen cyclists to take part in. This year the stage is from Pau through the Pyrenees to Hautacam. Taking part is an achievement in itself having ridden Letape in 2012! This time round I felt it could be an opportunity for me to do more than just ride the stage for my own sense of self achievement and had decided to go about choosing a local charity to raise funds for, but which one?! Now to cut a fairly long story shorter a few weeks ago one of my dear friends phoned to inform me that sadly her gorgeous daughter had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, it was an incredible shock to say the least! She will be treated at Poole Hospital so it's a no-brainer really! With consent from my dear friend and her daughter I will be raising money specifically for the cancer department in Poole hospital, and although I rather it wasn't, my inspiration for doing this is Alice! Every pedal stroke will mean that bit more!
