Story

We are taking part in the Virgin London Marathon 2021 to raise money for The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH) charitable fund. We are both researchers at the RJAH hospital, Jade works as a post-doctoral researcher associate in the Spinal Studies group, and Emily is a PhD student in the Centre for Inherited Neuromuscular Diseases group. Having both worked at the hospital for a number of years, we are honoured to have the opportunity to raise money for such a great cause.

Running the marathon is going to be a huge challenge for us, but we are incredibly excited and feel like it will be an amazing achievement. This opportunity has given us something to look forward to and work towards during these strange times.

Donations and fundraising will be used for the benefit of the patients and staff at the hospital. Donations help the hospital to develop new treatments, provide "state of the art" equipment and facilities and to provide extra benefits for our patients.
