I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Society by taking part in their Plymouth Memory Walk on Sunday 20th September.

I'm raising money in memory of my awesome Grandad who had vascular dementia and passed away recently. My Grandad was a very loving and caring man and i feel i would be honouring his memory and beliefs.

Myself and my family feel as if we wasnt given as much support as we needed from various organisations in helping my Grandad with the condition and my Grandma as his carer.

I would like to do this sponsored walk in hope that the money raised will help other families and ease their suffering.

What your support could provide

• £30 could support 100 carers with the 'Living With Dementia' magazine each month
• £45 could fund an Alzheimer's Society outreach worker to visit two people with dementia at home
• £104 could allow callers from anywhere in the country to call the national Alzheimer's Society Dementia Helpline each week at their local rate
• £200 could pay for two days of research towards finding a cure for dementia
