Me and some of my amazing friends will be taking part in a 28K walk round Edale to raise money for the Christie Hospital.

This means a lot to me and my family as my Grandad, Dave Irving, was diagnosed with cancer in January. After a horrible year due to losing my Nana Margaret, this was the last thing we needed. The Christie have looked after my Grandad so well and he is doing so much better now. This story is not uncommon, as there are around 375,000 new cancer cases in the UK every year, that's around 1,000 every day (2016-2018). The work that the Christies do is so important in the fight to beating cancer, and I would just like to say thank you to everyone there that works so hard day in day out.
