Story
2025 has been the most challenging year of myself, Louie’s and our families lives. As most will know, we have spent the most part of this year in hospital facing all sorts of hurdles along the way.
This year, I completed the challenge of a skydive and raised a massive £6680.00 for Ronald McDonald House Charities, who gave us a home away from home at the worst time of our lives, when Louie was really poorly in critical care. Next year I take on another challenge, the kiltwalk - walking 23 miles, to give back to ECHC who, without them I honestly don’t know where we’d be. This month especially, they have so many activities on for Louie to keep entertained whilst stuck inside hospital at Christmas time. The hub gives us time away from the ward, and for most kids this is all and more - no nurses or doctors poking and prodding, no beeping machines, no medical rooms, just peace to play. Last week, I was offered a complimentary massage by the therapist, and as a parent of an unwell baby, no one understands how amazing this is to just have that time to yourself to relax and destress. Recharge and get back to being the best parent to your child. This would not be possible without Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, and everyone’s continued support & donations
I’ve given one charity who have a massive place in our hearts, and now it’s time to give the other who has been everything and more when we’ve needed this year.
Anything big or small would be so appreciated, thank you all for your amazing support to myself and Louie. Operation number 8 of 2025 tomorrow, and hopefully home for Christmas!!! 🎅🏼🤍
