Story
I’ve joined #TEAMLC to run the London Marathon 2026, and I’m doing it in memory of my uncle Bruce, who bravely battled leukaemia but sadly passed away at just 49. His strength and spirit continue to inspire me every day.
I’m also be running for my mum and my aunty, two incredible women who have both faced breast cancer with courage and determination. Watching their journeys has shown me the harsh realities of cancer, but also the power of hope and resilience. They’ve shown me what real courage looks like, and their fight has shaped the person I am today.
Cancer has touched my family deeply. That’s why I’m supporting Leukaemia Care, a national charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. Around 34,000 people are affected by blood cancer each year in the UK, and Leukaemia Care is there to support them through diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
Please help me support everyone facing the fear and uncertainty that comes with a blood cancer diagnosis. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a real difference in someone’s life. No one should have to face this alone. Leukaemia Care offer support, guidance, and hope when everything feels uncertain.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
