Our Kilimanjaro Trek for Parkinsons

Our Kilimanjaro Trek for Parkinsons · 10 October 2022
In October 2022, my daughter (Japleen) and I will be trekking up Mt Kilimanjaro, in aid of Parkinsons UK. At a height of 5,895m, this is the tallest mountain in Africa, so an exciting challenge for the both of us.
In June 2021, I was diagnosed with Parkinsons, which is a neurological condition for which there is currently no cure. Parkinsons UK is therefore a charity close to our hearts, and we want to help the continued research into this area, as well as the constant support they are providing to patients.
In the past I have completed marathons, bike rides and treks to raise crucial funding for charities that friends and family have been affected by. Some of these included: Meningitis Trust, BHF and helping children with Leukaemia. However, this time is more personal, as I will be raising money for a cause which I am directly affected by. We hope that the proceeds can help fund continued research into finding a cure for future generations.
The trek will be paid in its entirety by both of us, so 100% of the money raised will go to Parkinsons UK. Any donation, no matter how small, will be very much appreciated by us both.
Thank you!
