London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·

We are the UK’s leading autism research charity. Our mission is to create breakthroughs that enable all autistic people to live happier, healthier, longer lives. We do this by funding research, shaping policy and working with autistic people to understand their needs.

Story

In April 2023 I will be running the London Marathon for Autistica.
Autistica is the UK’s national autism research charity. Which focuses on giving autistic people the opportunity to live long, happy, healthy lives.

Over the last few years autism has become a big part of mine and my families lives and there is still very little support for people and families adapting to live with it.

My cousin Stanley was diagnosed with Autism from an early age and my other cousin Isaac and myself were diagnosed with high function Autism a few years ago. After being diagnosed I found there is very little specific mental health treatments available and treatments which are available like CBT are less effective for people with autism. Autistica helps to improve the way autistic adults are diagnosed and supported as well trying to develop new personalised treatments to help patients deal with anxiety and depression.

Your donation will help fund more research projects that are creating huge break-throughs in autism treatment.

Any donation will be hugely appreciated.
