Great South Run 2022 · 16 October 2022 ·

Huntington’s disease (HD) termed “the cruellest disease known to man, likened to having cancer and Alzheimer’s together” is an inherited, incurable disease that causes the progressive breakdown (degeneration) of nerve cells in the brain.

Story

I'll be raising money for ADDOR, which supports people experiencing Huntington's Disease and their families. The charity has been set up in the name of a great friend of mine who has inherited HD, and I'm extremely proud to raise any money I can for this fantastic cause.

This will be my first entry into the Great South Run, which is a 10 mile event. Until I began training, I'd only ever run 6 miles at most, so this won't be a walk in the park for me! I'm training hard to make sure I can come home with a good finishing time, and if it means raising any money for this great charity, all the effort will be totally worthwhile.

Any donations, however small, are enormously appreciated!
