Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This summer I'm off to Pakistan to attempt K2, the world's 2nd highest peak. At 8,611m (28,251ft) it's 239m lower than Everest, but much harder. If I'm successful, I should become the youngest Brit to climb K2, and the youngest person to have climbed both K2 and Everest. The expedition will take approximately 65 days, leaving on the 10th June and returning mid-August.
Ever since Everest, it has been a goal of mine to attempt this mountain. It represents one of the most challenging endeavours possible, and success will be a dream come true. I am in a very fortunate position where I can attempt to make my dreams come true, which is why I've chosen to use this trip to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They do an amazing job of making the dreams of children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses come true. This is a wonderfully worthwhile cause, and I hope that you all can give generously to support their on-going work.
Apparently you cannot claim gift aid on your donation if you get a raffle ticket in return... So there will not be a prize draw after I return. However, when I return, I'm sure that I'll have some cool stuff that I won't be needing any more, and could hypothetically give away. The more money you give, the more I might be inclined to give you a memento of the trip! I'm sure you get the gist!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Make-A-Wish Foundation UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
