International Service ICS · 31 August 2015 to 31 August 2018 ·

We are an international development charity protecting and promoting the rights of marginalised people in Latin America, West Africa and the Middle East. We support people in practical ways to understand their human rights, and put them into action, so they can change their lives for the better.

Story

Thank you very much! For taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In January 2017, for 3 Months (12 Weeks), myself and 15 other British citizens aged 18-25 will embark on a development programme in Ghana.

This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. I’ll be working alongside volunteers from the UK and also local volunteers native to whichever country I will be placed within, on a project that will help establish equality, fight poverty, provide aid, assistance and support direct to both individuals and the community.

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young
people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term
community development.

I need to raise £800. The money raised will go towards supporting the work of ICS and their ICS partner organisations, enabling ICS to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.

I’m doing as much as I can to fundraise and also raise awareness of ICS, and their fantastic work and you can keep track of how I get on here on my
Justgiving page or via my public Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/obsidi/ .

Any contribution from you will make a
real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!
Thanks for your support!
