Jake 125 mile cycle 'changing gears for 125 years' · 6 February 2020

We're a charity that looks after special places throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland for ever, for everyone. This includes 780 miles of coastline, over 248,000 hectares of land and over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments gardens and parks and nature reserves.

Story

My name is Jake and I am 15. I am raising money for the National trust because i'm passionate about the work they do. I have been volunteering as part of the countryside team within the cycle hire at Blickling for over two years now and have just started volunteering with the rangers. I have a passion for being in the great outdoors so I therefore realise how important it is to raise funds to keep the many amazing spaces open for people to use. So I thought I would do my bit to help out the trust by riding 125 miles in one day to celebrate 125 years of the national trust. It isn't just an ordinary cycle challenge, the villages that I will pass through on my cycle ride will spell out the name: Blickling hall.

B: Blickling L: Lenwade I: Itteringham C: Corpusty K: Kerdiston L: Longham I: Ivy Todd N: Necton G: Gately H: Hindolveston              A: Alderford L: Little Barningham L: Lyng

The date of my challenge is yet to be confirmed but will upload it soon as I know.

*UPDATE*

The date has now been decided. I will complete my challenge on the 26th July.
