Hello!

After someone at work dropped out last-minute, I was bullied by reception to take their place in the Manchester 10k. Being my usual doormat-self... here I am running a 10k in 5 days with no training!

I have chosen to raise money for Cancer Research UK as cancer continues to be a devastating and indiscriminate disease, accounting for a quarter of all deaths in the UK. Someone is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes - and every 4 minutes, someone will die.

A couple of years ago, 10k would have been no problem for me, but after a cheeky 7k at lunch on Friday, THINGS HAVE REALLY GONE DOWNHILL. With only 5 days to prepare myself, this is going to be a real challenge!

5 days isn't a lot of time to raise money, but if you can donate - please do! Even the smallest amount is better than nothing at all. The page will remain after the event too if you are unable to donate at such short notice.
