125 people die by suicide in the UK every week. That's not okay. That's why this October, I'm taking part in CALMs Lost Hours Walk, to join people across the country in smashing the silence around suicide. The money I raise will be going towards CALM's life-saving services, so they can be there for anyone struggling, no matter what.
As someone who works from home full-time pre-pandemic - the thought of staying at home during lockdown did not concern me. I was naïve. I realised that despite being a massive introvert, actually getting outside and talking to people was important to my mental health. This walk is a great opportunity to get outside, speak amongst friends, help challenge stigmas and stereotypes, and raise vital money to keep CALMs services running.
