Thanks for visiting my page.
Me and Rebecca are raising money for Eating Matters, who are a local charity run and operated in Norwich.
Eating disorders are serious, potentially life-threatening conditions that affect a person’s emotional and physical health. They are not just a “fad” or a “phase.” People do not just “catch” an eating disorder for a period of time. They are real, complex, and devastating conditions that can have serious consequences for health, productivity, and relationships.
People struggling with an eating disorder need to seek professional help. The earlier a person with an eating disorder seeks treatment, the greater the likelihood of physical and emotional recovery.
Back in 2006 at Preston college, I had numerous friends which was a strange concept to me since in high school I struggled to make friends, I think this made me naive and over-trusting, unfortunately this led to me being sexually assaulted (raped) by one of my college friends on an evening out.
I blocked this out of my mind for years, and never thought it was really affecting me, but then I started gaining weight. This was the start of an eating disorder which soon changed from binge eating to bulimia at University.
My eyes were opened to the fact I needed help back in August last year. Rebecca has been there every step of the way and I'm now on the road to recovery, although it is very hard.
I've been told that these events are mostly to blame and why my moods and emotions are so erratic and often uncontrollable. I'm hoping that recovering from these events will also enable me to get a handle on how I treat people, but please know that I rarely mean to cause offense with the things I say, all I really want is for people to like me.
