Story
The event came and we conquered. It was a lovely, sunny albeit a bit too warm day to tackle 13.1 miles but the people of the Northeast made our day. They came out and supported us in droves offering orange wedges, jelly babies, cups of water and other sugary snacks. Their words of encouragement kept us going to the end and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day! I wrote my name on my shirt however James wrote James not Mo which drew quite a few amused looks and sniggers :-)
This was my fifth time of going the GNR and I managed a PB for this course of 2:01:55. I'm very proud of James who on running his first ever half marathon ran a very respectable 2:26:57!!!
For those who have donated already thank you all for your support but it's not too late to donate for those thinking about it. Please help us if you can with any amount you can afford will do. Once you donate, they’ll send your donation directly to the charity.
Thanks again for visiting our fundraising page,
Andrea and James
