Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

For those of you who know me know how absurd it is that I’ve signed up to do this. At the moment of writing this I struggle to stand for more than 10 minutes at a time due to plantar fasciitis in both feet, I weigh around 100kg which is about 30kg more than my frame would like to carry, and I haven’t gone for a run since 2019.

The research and work done by the BHF is incredible, and what humans can achieve when fighting against something as huge as heart disease is mind blowing. I’ve always been a big believer that physically most people are capable of more than they think, the restriction lies mostly in the mind. I have given myself a huge challenge, a huge obstacle to overcome, in the hopes that you will recognise this effort and reward it generously to help continue to fund this life saving research.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. Spare anything you can as it all adds up to something wonderful.
