Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the last few years I have become friends with Peter and Anne Templeton and it was with great shock and sadness when I heard that on the 10th April 2018 their 18yr old son Will had taken his own life. Will had been troubled by social anxiety and depression throughout his adolescence. Although before his death he had made enormous progress in dealing with his challenges.
Having a child of my own , I can't imagine the pain a parent goes though, when you loose a child this way.
I admire Peter and Anne for their dedication in setting up a foundation in memory of their son, to search, discover and support ways in which young people suffering with similar challenges to Will can be helped and set on the road to recovery and back to full mental fitness.
Back in May of 2019 I was able to run the Halstead and Essex Marathon and raise money in support of Young Peoples Mental Health, and by the goodness and generosity of all of those who kindly donated, raised £1,100.
I would like to show my support again this year by raising awareness of the charity and the continued good work which they are doing by giving people the opportunity to donate through my training and running of the Cambridge Half Marathon.
Thank you.
Best Wishes, James
