James, Sam, Simon, Mike, Derek, Ben, Tom, Dave, Scott & Ant have set the challenge of cycling around the isle of Wight in 2 days.

We as a team decided on challenging ourselves to complete a sponsored cycle ride around the IOW approx 70 miles.

As a team, a lot of us found this a very daunting prospect as the fitness the levels amongst 10 middle aged engineers, with a staple diet of fast food, isn’t the recipe for fast times. However we were all up for the challenge and set out on our own individual training programmes, some more successful than others. It even meant two of the riders having to borrow a bike and one having just learnt to ride a bike.

We are arriving in Fishbourne on Friday  4^th August at 8am and setting off to; Ryde, St Helens,Ventnor, Brighstone, Freshwater, Yarmouth, Newbridge, Cowes, Aiming to completethe ride at approx 3/4pm on the Saturday 5^th August.

Each of us has had a friend or relative  directly affected by this terrible disease and all money raised will go towards helping to either cure or prevent this.
