My lovely mother was diagnosed with an acute form of leukaemia, and continues to battle the illness. Last year she underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, and each week travels to and from Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge for tests, blood, platelets and other life-saving treatment. She is supported by my father. I am running for them, and to help fund the treatment charities like Leukaemia UK provide to many others.
