I've decided to do the Great North Run 2023 in aid of Diabetes UK. It's been two years since my daughter was diagnosed with type I diabetes when she was just 4 years old. This was a massive shock and upheaval for us, with lots of help and support provide by many people. The charity provides support in the form of a helpline, local support groups, Type 1 events for young people and their families as well as funding research.
