Hi I’m James,  a 33 year old, try to keep fit dad. To push myself through this gruelling event, I have amazing family support from my wife Emma and sons Leo and Hugh.  This year I have signed up for Hyrox Manchester January 2023.  As New Year’s resolution I would like to raise as much money as possible for charity and good causes through sport and education. Any donations you give will make a huge impact on my chosen charity MacMillan Cancer Support. 

HYROX is a fitness race for Every Body, no matter your fitness level. The race starts with a 1 km run, followed by 1 functional movement. This whole circuit repeats 8 times, taking place in large indoor venues, creating a unique stadium like atmosphere for all participants.

Functional movements include: 

1. 1000m SkiErg
2. 50m Sled push
3. 50m Sled pull
4. 80m Burpee broad jumps
5. 1000m Rowing
6. 200m Farmers carry
7. 100m Sandbag lunges
8. 100 x Wall balls
