JAMES CARROLL is raising money for YMCA Coventry and Warwickshire

Story
Maisie and I will be taking part in Tour de Y's 5 mile Challenge Ride - cycling a circuit of the lake at Draycote Water. This is the furthest Maisie has ever ridden but she's determined to finish the course.
Evie and Max will be showing their support too by joining the 250 metres Mini Ride.
YMCA Coventry and Warwickshire have been working with local people for more than 125 years, providing a range of supportive services and opportunities which are accessible, affordable and relevant to young people within the local community.
They believe that young people have an important role to play in building a better world and that starts when they have a sense of belonging and have way to make positive contributions.
YMCA accommodation – providing housing and support for young people across Coventry and Warwickshire who would otherwise be
homeless.
In the local community – providing opportunities to learn new skills, serve the local community and train young volunteers to support and empower their peers.
In Schools – delivering innovative and flexible programmes to complement existing educational experiences. From sessions on
drugs, budgeting and bullying to PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs.
At Sports clubs – providing high quality sports coaching from age 5 to adult through Basketball, Wheelchair Basketball and Handball. Club members compete at local, regional and national level.
Members of their wheelchair basketball academy are also set to compete in the Rio Paralympics in Summer 2016.
The money we raise will help YMCA Coventry and Warwickshire to improve and enhance existing programmes as well as develop new, innovative projects for the benefit of local young people.
