Hi all and thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We're are delighted to take on this fantastic 100 mile bike ride challenge to raise money for such a worthwhile charity.

The idea to do this cycle ride was conceived through a few pints that Des and I had consumed at the Triangle one evening.  He decided to cycle up there to take full advantage of not having to "drive" home and it seemed like a great idea (at the time !) to do a charity cycle to Leicester. Things have changed a bit now and we are now cycling from Leicester to London.  It is indeed a challenge for both Des and I - and believe me it is hard trying to juggle the training, work, music sessions and drinking for get ready for the big day!!  It is torture on our nether regions as well, never mind the psychological hurdles!  We are going to do this if it kills us and it most probably will. 

The date we start cycling is early the 25th July 09 and we are hoping to reach London before dark for some tunes and craic (if we can still stand up that is).

Marie Curie Nurses have helped those very close to us both and we are going to do all we can to raise as much as possible..............so no pressure lads.
