Take on the London Marathon virtually as part of #TeamMND in 2023

Story

On Sunday 23rd April I will be taking on the Virtual London Marathon, walking 26.2 miles to raise money for the MND Association.

A close friend of mine was diagnosed with MND in 2017.  He suffers from restricted movement in his legs, meaning that he has had to wear ankle-foot orthoses for several years.

Despite his condition, he and I took part in walking the last Virtual London Marathon together in October 2022.  He completed the walk, pushing himself through many pain barriers doing so, which he is still feeling the after-effects of even now, and sadly is unable to tackle the full 26.2 miles again this year.

I plan to take up the mantle of raising money on his behalf for such an important and personal cause.
