Adrian Flux Lap of Anglia 2022 · 17 August 2022 to 20 August 2022 ·
On the 17th of August 2022, we (James, Nick and Rich) are setting off again to do the Lap of Anglia.
This is a 435 Mile event, over 4 back to back days, where we will cycle up 14,167 ft of elevation (that’s climbing Ben Nevis 3 times over on a bike) as we visit 3 cities (Norwich, Ipswich & Luton) and a town (Kings Lynn), only using the power of our legs, as we cycle day after day, no matter what conditions we encounter (Sunshine, Blistering heat, Rain or Wind) in the name of charity.
Starting from the East Anglian Air Ambulance in Norwich on Wednesday 17th and cycling over 100 miles each day, around East Anglia we will finish back in Norwich four days later on Saturday 20th.
Day 1 - Norwich to Ipswich - 107miles
Day 2 - Ipswich to Luton - 102miles
Day 3 - Luton to King’s Lynn - 124miles
Day 4 - King’s Lynn to Norwich - 102miles
This fully supported cycling event raises vital funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance which operate two helicopters from bases in both Norwich and Cambridge and offers cover the whole of East Anglia for medical emergencies. This costs the charity around £13million per year to run, and is not state-funded like the other emergency services, meaning its only donations that keep the operation flying.
We are asking if you can afford it, or know someone who has needed the help of one of the helicopters, for a donation to help fund this vital service and keep it in the air!
