Story

So he's done the half now he is going for the whole.

I've always said I want to do the London marathon and was really lucky to get a space for 2018.

For those who don't know, after a freak incident at the Brighton Half Marathon Dave Marsh beat me. He did the London Marathon last year so I'm now aiming to beat his time of 03:45.

Jokes aside I'm running for a really good cause.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a cruel neurodegenerative condition which causes increasing muscle paralysis and a dramatically shortened life expectancy. It kills more than 1/3 within a year of diagnosis and more than 1/2 within 2 years.

I was never able to meet Laura's mum as she was taken by MND over 10 years ago. But I know from Laura that the Motor Neurone Disease Association did all they could to make life after diagnosis more bearable. From emotional support to cope with the debilitating effects of the disease, to financial support providing furniture, cutlery and wheelchairs, adding some comfort during those difficult days.

There's currently no cure or effective treatment for MND. Your donation can help change that and support those diagnosed with the disease.

Any support or donations are really appreciated.
