Story
It's almost time! On Friday 21st April, I'll start my journey to complete the 'hardest footrace on Earth' - The Marathon des Sables - a 250km self-supported ultramarathon across the endless sands of the Sahara Desert. Running six marathons in six days with everything I need to survive crammed into a 10kg bag on my back.
In the process, I'm hoping to raise money for Centrepoint - a charity that aims to give young homeless people a chance at a better future by offering safe accommodation, physical and mental health support and crucially, provide the skills and advice needed to get them back into education and employment, and help them regain their independence.
Whether it be due to violence, abuse, family breakdown or problems with mental health, young people often become homeless because it's safer to leave home than it is to stay. Being homeless means not having that safe place to call home, something so many of us take for granted.
Centrepoint's mission is to end youth homelessness by 2037 and any donation you make, no matter how small, will contribute towards making this happen; making young people feel safe and getting them back on track for a brighter future.
Thank you 🙏
