I am going to be raising money throughout the year for this fantastic charity. A special mention goes out to Iain in the charity.

As you can see from my other just giving page, someone very close to me is a survivor of the worst form of sexual violence. I was the first person they told the details to. I was the first person they trusted. Hearing this broke my heart and made me angrier and depressed. I was lost, hopeless and helpless. It was the toughest and darkest time in my life and I wasn't the one to have survived the crime. 

Christian guidelines are a church funded therapy organisation specialising in counselling and mental health. They do not proselytise they exist purely to help.

Iain was my councillor. He helped me understand my rage, my wrath and my anger. He helped me work through my depression and feelings of guilt and helplessness. He saved my life and in so doing he helped me save the life of my friend.

I have no words adequate to share with you just how much he helped. I have no words adequate to the task of describing his professionalism and his constant care and concern throughout. I have no words. All I have is the will to help this fantastic charity. All I have is every fibre of my being to make sure that others like me get help. I have decided I want to help. I hope you do to.

 I will be swimming 5km on the 14th of May. There will be other fundraising throughout the year.
