2022 OAB Tandem Challenge · 8 April 2022 ·

OAB takes on the Tandem Challenge this April, cycling to raise vital funds for Visually Impaired adults and children in Oxfordshire. 22km to represent the 22,000 visually impaired people in Oxfordshire.

Story

I haven't ridden a bike for 25 years until I went to Wheels for All recently. Although it was bit of a shock it hasn't put me off my pledge to take part in this tandem challenge. I'm now in training and realise that padded cycling shorts will be essential!

Having been associated with OAB for over 12 years, I know first hand how important such services are to the 22,000 people with visual impairment in Oxfordshire. As well as hoping to raise vital funding this is inspiring me to improve my own fitness as well as having lots of fun.

I hope that you will give generously as I attempt to cycle 22km on a tandem. With special thanks to Brian for being my brave pilot.
