Age UK Doncaster aims to take the fear out of ageing by empowering and supporting older people in Doncaster to live and age well. We help thousands of older people each year but now we need your help to stay strong during Covid-19 and beyond. By supporting us now you help us to help them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year my then-girlfriend (now my fiancée) persuaded me to join Age UK as a Circles volunteer. I was paired with a remarkable gentleman named Stan, whom I visit around once a fortnight to chat about the stuff where we share a common interest, such as politics and history.

Stan has lived through the Great Depression, the Second World War and the fall of the Soviet Union. He has so much knowledge and insight to share, but he's often felt isolated and alone. Through connecting elderly people with a broader network of people, Age UK is there to make sure that elderly people are given the companionship they deserve.

In order to support this amazing charity, my friend Mark Jackson and I are running the 20k Yorkshire Warrior race at Ripley Castle on 16th September. We are woefully unprepared, but we're going to give it our best shot!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks in advance for your generosity!
