To celebrate the life of my very close friend James, and to honour one of James’ last wishes, I am fundraising for St Rocco’s Hospice on his and his family’s behalf.

James spoke to me shortly before he passed away about wanting to raise money on behalf of St Rocco’s for his 23^rd birthday, and asked me to help him make this happen. Today, the 9^th August, is James’ birthday and I am taking the day to request any donations, however big or small, to help James to achieve his birthday wish of supporting the hospice that has cared so well for him.

St Rocco’s Hospice is based in Warrington and relies on voluntary donations and fundraising to continue to provide its care to those who need it. James’ wish was for the money raised to go towards specific medical equipment, such as an infusion pump for a drip stand (which James knew was in scarce supply but in great demand).

Whether you are able to donate today, and / or to share this page, any help to reach this goal would be a source of great comfort to James’ family and others who loved him.

Happy Birthday James, you are missed more than you will ever know, and I hope to do you justice by achieving the goal you set yourself in the final days and weeks before your passing. It is testament to your incredible positivity, determination and strength of character that even in your darkest hours, you were still finding ways to help and support others. I am so proud to call you my friend.
