Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In May 2014 my mum lost her brave fight with Pancreatic Cancer passing away in the Severn Hospice in Shrewsbury. She was diagnosed in September 2013 whilst visiting her first Granddaughter out in Germany. She had a successful operation and a course of Chemotherapy however this wasn't enough to keep her with us.
She was such an amazing person and a huge inspiration to me. I wanted to do this small effort in her memory to hopefully raise some awareness about Pancreatic Cancer.
Last September, the 'Cancer' word took on a new meaning for our family. It was such a shock that this happened to a woman so fit and healthy with so many more years to live. Only a shocking 19.1% of women survive this disease 1 year or more. This has only improved since the 1970s by just 12%. This needs to change.
Please support my challenge if you can and help fund research to improve survival rates for this cancer.
Thank you.
