As a survivor of childhood cancer (Leukemia) and spending most of my childhood sick and not able to do "normal" kid stuff I experienced a camp like this in Upstate NY and it was a beautiful experience. I was treated like a normal kid doing crafts, activities outside...even joined the Polar Bear Club there :) I know first hand how important camps like this can be for the one who is sick, but also for the family.

I will be TAKING THE CHALLENGE in support of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. Taking the challenge means I am dedicating my time and efforts to change the life of a child that attends Camp Boggy Creek.Camp Boggy Creek is a place of dreams, joy & possibilities, where kids can just be kids! 

Founded by Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf in 1996, Camp Boggy Creek has made it possible for children with serious illnesses to enjoy a camp experience in a safe, medically-sound environment. The 232-acre camp serves children ages 7-16 who've been diagnosed with chronic or life-threatening conditions at absolutely no cost to them or their families.
