On the Saturday 23rd July a team of eight close friends James Hole, Dale Simpson, Tony Knight, Leigh Takel, Kevin Wilks, Simon Knight, Sean Morgan and Matt Rollings(closely assisted by John Knight and Trevor Sealey) from Southmead Rugby Club, will be attempting the 3 PEAKS CHALLENGE!!!
The National Three Peaks challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. These are Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon respectively. Different people will take different periods of time to do the 3 peaks. Those who are brave, noble, or just plain stupid, try to do all 3 within the space of 24 hours - The Three Peaks Challenge.
The charity they will be climbing for is Great Ormond Street Hospital. Where a team members son (Dale Simpson) has undergone numerous operations which have been carried out to the highest standard to which this hospital has become worldwide renowned for.
We would like to show our apprieciation by attempting this challenge and raising as much money as possible.
