Our son Rex has spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic muscle weakening condition. This makes something as simple as a cold potentially life threatening. Last year he was admitted to the great north children's hospital intensive care unit on two occasions. It has recently been his 3rd birthday and without the amazing people and services at the Rvi he would not have made that landmark. We are so grateful to them and wanted to raise some money that might help other children and families.
