Willowbrook Hospice, an independent charity covering St Helens & Knowsley in Merseyside, aims to enhance the quality of life, and relieve the suffering of patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses by providing Specialist Palliative Care for those in need and support for their carers.

Story

Myself and a group of friends are walking up snowdon in memory of our mate Ian fildes aka Fido who lost his battle with cancer in May 2021. Ian suffered  during his battle and was in great pain throughout. Thankfully in the end Willowbrook we’re able to give Fido some comfort and support to him and his family. After Ian passed we looked into the cost needed to run willowbrook and it’s over 5 million pounds a year, which is a lot and it’s a great place so we will do our bit to help to keep the hospice running.
