As an ambassador for the YMCA I met with Paul Kellett who showed me some staggering numbers. According to statistics recently highlighted by the BBC,  Bedford per 10,000 people has the 4th highest homeless count in the whole of the UK. With the number up 29% since last year. As someone that has spent his life in and around Bedford, that made me quite sad, how have we let this happen!

So me and my family decided we would try to do our bit and spend the night with our sleeping bags in a car park, in an effort to raise some money for the YMCA. They do such an amazing job housing and caring for homeless people in our town. If you can spare a few pounds that would be great, but please have a look at the YMCA website to see what great work they do.
